It’s coming July 9-13. We are getting ready for a great summer VBS this year! The SKY’s the limit for this great adventure and we want you to partner with us. We are looking for about 30 volunteers to help with everything from preparing snacks to leading kids to playing games or doing science experiments. We also need plenty of supplies-you will find loan\donation ticket items on the front bulletin board in the lobby. Will you take a ticket or three and help us out? Just return the ticket with your item to the office.

On Friday, May 18 anyone between the ages of 18-100 are invited tgo go see the stars at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. We will carpool so sign up at the Welcome Center in the church lobby or call the office at 928-772-7364.

On Friday, April 27 those 18 years and older are invited to a road trip to the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. We will carpool so make sure you sign up at the Welcome Center if you are going. We will leave at 9AM from the church.

Ladies of all ages are invited to join us April 14th at 10AM at Jarz of Clay (7840 E State Route 69-by Safeway). We will be painting a choice of pottery for you to keep. There is a cost for this activity, $3 to come and you will purchase the pottery piece you want to do (prices range from about $4-40 depending on the item). PVCC has a food pantry available to members of the congregation as well as anyone in the community. The pantry has been well used lately and is in need of restocking. Needed items are:

Women of all ages and any young  adult between the ages of 17-30 are welcome to attend our Career Enhancement Seminar. It’s Saturday, April 28th from 10AM to noon. This is open to the first 16 registrants. Pastor Matt Showalter and a business owner in the congregation will help you inventory your skills and experience as well as give tips on presenting your best in a job interview. This includes Scriptural insights and practical suggestions. The deadline to sign up is April 14th. Child care will be provided.

If you are between the ages of 18-35, you are invited to bowl on April 21 from 2-4PM. Cost to bowl is $9.50 per person for shoes and unlimited bowling for 2 hours. Sign up by April 11 at the Welome Center.

How would you like to learn how to be effective in reaching more people for Christ? If so, please make plans to join us for our new Friendship Group season. It begins the week of March 25th. The curriculum for our first four weeks is “Jim & Casper Go To Church.” The conversation between Jim, a Christian, and Casper, an atheist, helps believers communicate the gospel more effectively with those who do not relate to church culture.

This will be followed by a four week study in the Scriptures from Alexander Strauch’s book about how hospitality creates a loving community. Our Sunday group will meet at 4pm in the Fellowship Hall with Dave Lezeau leading. Pastor Matt will teach the Tuesday morning group at 11AM. Please sign up at the Welcome Center if you want to participate. The two books we will be using for the spring semester of Friendship Groups may be purchased at Amazon.com in various price ranges and condition. You may also check with the Family Christian Bookstore in Prescott Valley for availability. The books are “Jim & Casper Go To Church” by Jim Henderson & Matt Casper and “The Hospitality Commands” by Alexander Strauch.
